A car thief was arrested on 5th Avenue in Alberton North on April 29 by CPS Security’s tactical team.
“Our control room was alerted to a car theft that had just taken place at the Netcare Union Hospital. On our arrival, we were requested to track the stolen Ford Ranger,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director.
The vehicle was located in the Elandshaven area. Their tactical team responded and spotted the vehicle fleeing after removing the tracking device.
“The suspect caused an accident and attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly apprehended.
“Thank you once again to the SAPS Highway patrol for the quick back-up,” van der Merwe concluded.
