12 people injured in Alberton taxi rollover
At least twelve people have been injured when the taxi they were travelling in rolled on the R59 near the N12 in Alberton on March 1.
“ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on the scene at 07h04 to find the taxi lying on its side in the right-hand lane. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were now seated along the barrier,” said ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that twelve adults had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no fatalities were found.”
Meiring said the patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care. local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
