A male in his early 30s was recently arrested and charged for murder after being found in possession of a firearm used in the killing of a 62-year-old female.
The arrest was made through the investigation handled by Sgt Mmakgabo Moloto of Alberton SAPS.
According to Manare Ramotshela of Alberton SAPS, it is alleged that on November 27, 2016, the woman was shot and killed in a house situated in their policing precinct.
“It looks like the sergeant left no stone unturned. The prosecution department also succeeded in getting required information to take the culprit to life imprisonment. The management and Ekurhuleni district appreciates the good work done by the sergeant for ensuring that justice prevails,” he said.
