All Ekurhuleni clinics offer free Covid-19 testing

As part of the continued measures to curb the global pandemic, The City of Ekurhuleni reminds residents that its clinic doors are open to the public for free Covid-19 testing.

Residents are encouraged to take extra precautionary measures amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

This includes seeking medical help at the local clinic when presenting any of the following symptoms:  fever, sore throat, cough, general body pains, lack of smell, and lack of taste.

The Member of the Mayoral Committee for Health and Community Services Cllr Nomadlozi Nkosi urges residents to take Covid-19 seriously and not ignore any sign of ailment.

“Residents are urged to adhere to precautionary measures to curb the spread of Covid-19 to preserve life and good health,” says MMC Nkosi.

She further states that residents who attend funerals or gatherings and present any listed symptoms are encouraged to visit any of the City’s health facilities for a free Covid-19 test.

Those going to clinics for Covid-19 testing must inform the healthcare worker at the entrance that they have symptoms or have been in contact who has tested positive.

The patient will not sit in the waiting area with other patients but will be taken to an isolation room or tent where they will be tested.
