Two injured in Florentia house fire

Authorities on scene managed to contain and extinguish the fire.

Two people sustained injuries during a house fire in Second Avenue near the Alberton swimming pool and KFC in Florentina this Thursday, October 22.

According to Chantal Peel from National Paramedical Services, paramedics assessed the two patients and found that both had sustained injuries and both were in stable condition.

The patients were treated for their injuries on the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

*Fit approved smoke detectors on each floor. Choose a smoke alarm that is mains operated or one with a long life (ten years) battery

*Plan your escape route.
