Cleaning up Ward 37

Councillor Tiaan Kotzé, residents and members from the Alberton Loins Club cleaned up in the Ward 37 area on September 19 as their way to contribute to World Clean-Up Day.

They focused on the stream which comes from the Alberton Dam and flows through Verwoerdpark until it joins Natalspruit in New Market Park.

“Our goal was to clean the stream from the fence of the Alberton Dam all the way to the bridge in Pelican Road,” said Kotzé.

“World Clean-Up Day is a day where clean-up projects across the world took place in parks, open spaces, rivers and beaches.

“Thank you to the community and Alberton Lions for participation in this year’s world Clean-up Day in Ward 37. “Your efforts to better our community is noble and greatly appreciated,” Kotzé concluded.
