Are you one of the over two million viewers tuning in to Family Feud each week? If not, you’re missing out on loads of laughs and some amazing tactical game play.

Don’t miss out on this week’s episode of Family Feud, as the Chirwa family from Alberton take on the Vermeulens from Stellenbosch in what promises to be another entertaining hour of laughter.

From tears of laughter to ‘Dizemba’ hair and shy contestants, we’re not sure if the audience or host Steve Harvey are more entertained in this week’s episode, which will be aired on e.tv on June 21 at 6pm.

Meet this week’s competing families:

The Chirwa family from Alberton

• Mirriam is the team captain and was super excited to meet Mr Harvey. She’s a care worker for people with Alzheimer’s and enjoys kwasa kwasa dance.
• Julius, Mirriam’s husband, is an export controller and collector of African music.
• Business optimisation specialist Kasuna is also a fitness junkie, adrenalin junkie and globe trotter.
• Ellen is a fixed asset controller.
• Mxolisi is a hearing aid technician who enjoys woodwork.

The Vermeulen family from Stellenbosch

• Team captain Marcia is a doctor and enjoys travelling.
• Daine is a laboratory assistant who loves anime.
• Chrystal is a student and performance poet.
• Recently engaged Loren-Leigh is an after-care teacher. Mr. Harvey was surprised that she was able to get away with her funky blue-grey, ‘Dizemba’ hair as a teacher.
• Christopher is an agricultural business consultant and a gym fanatic.

Hosted by entertainer, businessman and philanthropist Steve Harvey, the popular game show calls on two families in each episode to compete in naming the most popular responses to gathered survey questions in order to win cash and prizes.

The game consists of five rounds and each correctly guessed answer is worth a number of points. When a team fails to answer a question, they receive a strike and after three strikes the opposing family has the chance to ‘steal’ the points on the board.

At the end of round five, the losing family takes their haul home and the other family goes on to play Fast Money in a bid to win the jackpot.
