REACT 24 continues to give back to the less privileged

These donations came at the right time since winter has arrived.

A West Turffontein-based security company, yet again gave back to Alberton North’s informal settlement residents on May 26.

This follows after the security company visited to a different section of the informal settlement just a week ago together with the Alberton SPCA.On the day, REACT 24 donated clothes, blankets, toys and bags of potatoes to keep the residents going.

This was made possible by donations from South Crusaders, GP Windscreens and 32-Bn veterans.Garfield Venter, REACT 24 director, thanked everyone who donated towards a good cause of making a difference to the Alberton North residents.

“I again delivered two bakkie loads of clothing as well as other donations with the help of these organisations. I will also be going to an orphanage in Meyerton where I will donate food and blankets,” he said.

Venter also said that donations will help the residents immensely, especially since the country is faced with a lockdown.

Mankosana Machaya, a resident at Alberton North?s informal settlement, said: “We appreciate his help during this time and may he continue to make a difference. These donations came at the right time since winter has arrived.”
