Alberton SPCA’s 2020 lockdown wish list

During the last two months of lockdown, Alberton SPCA had to cancel three large fund-raising events that were planned for the year.

The Alberton SPCA has been under huge financial strain during the lockdown period.

“As everyone is aware, the SPCA relies on public donations to conduct most of our operational work and for upgrades to the SPCA premises.

“During the last two months of lockdown, we have had to cancel three large fund-raising events that were planned for the year. “The fund-raising events assist in raising the additional funds to support the society,” said Nadia Saunderson, Alberton SPCA’s manager.

With winter fast approaching, the SPCA would like to make some upgrades to the existing kennels and catteries so that the animals in their care have the best possible home during their stay

“We have compiled a wish list for the renovations needed to our current facilities.

“Our wish list does not end with the donation of items alone but also the assistance of manpower or labour to assist in making our dreams a reality.”
