Sweet smell of criminal success: Robbers steal perfumes in Mall at Newmarket

At approximately 05.20 am on Tuesday, February 25, suspects forced their way into the Mall at Newmarket and smash-and-grabbed perfumes at Dischem.

According to the Special Operations Group (SOG), shooting ensured between robbers, SOG Security Guards and SOG Armed Response. Armed Response officers chased the suspects into the township where they lost them.

Both SOG’s R1 vehicle and the suspect’s vehicles were damaged during shooting.

Kindly note that there is no disruption at the mall and it is trading as normal.
