Alberton High School hoisted its flag high after being named as best-performing school by Ekurhuleni South District during its 25th annual awards ceremony on February 5.
The school’s award was presented by councillor Lesiba Mpya, acting mayor of Ekurhuleni, also MMC for Human Settlements.
The learners were awarded in different categories which included mathematics Olympiads, special service awards and received scrolls and colours.
Learners from Grade Eight to 12 also received academic awards from their last year’s results.
