Her father’s death made her discover her hidden talent of singing and ability to compose songs, which resulted in her releasing yet another single.
Leandra Foster (29) gained recognition after releasing her debut song titled Free as a Father’s Day present to her late dad earlier in the year.
She has yet again showed off her creativity and lived up to her word of giving her fans meaningful and soothing music.
Foster released her follow-up new single on November 27 titled Verdwaal in jou liefde, which translates to get lost in your love. Her song was recently aired by Pretoria-based Groot FM. The single best narrates her mother’s journey with her late father who she was married to for 34 years.
“It’s such a special story that I was able to put together as a new single, a follow-up song to my first single titled Free. My mother told me her whole life story of being so blessed and really happy in her marriage for those many years. My follow-up single came straight from the heart of my mother, Trudie Reinecke,” said Foster.
Setting a good example
The song, according to Foster, is very different to her first single. It is an energetic pop Afrikaans song.
After having worked in a corporate environment for years, Foster said her decision to take up music was prompted by a need to encourage people to follow their hearts’ desires.
“I encourage people to believe in themselves and in their capability to follow and live out their dreams. I have always been a believer that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. It is important to stay close and connected with God while pursuing and living out your passion and dream,” she said.
The release of her single was made possible by Lullaby Whispers Photography, Bloomingtale and Silverswallow Designs and Fringe Devine Hair Studio. She also worked with Go Brown Spray Tanning Alberton.
She is also grateful to her husband, family and friends who supported and kept her going in her journey of releasing the single.
