There will be a skills development centre for disabled children who are not able to attend normal schools as well as for disabled adults from the community. The training facility will cater for parents and other homes.

The foundation is supported in its work by Afrimat, Glen Douglas dolomite mine and Cosmopolitan Projects.

The new building will enable the foundation to accommodate 39 children, and to make a difference in their lives. When the centre is complete, it will provide residential facility to 60 children.

Adele Modoo, inclusion leader, said: “As South Africans it is our responsibility to give back to these children. With support and donations from companies and the private sector, we have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of disabled children.”
