UPDATE: PHOTO – Alberton SAPS seeks help to find family members of a deceased child

This comes after the body of the child was found drowned in a river at Bevan Street in Roodekop in Germiston.

ALBERTON SAPS is appealing to the community to help them find family members of an African boy child estimated to be aged two, who was found dead on February 18.

This comes after the body of the child was found drowned in a river at Bevan Street in Roodekop in Germiston.

While Alberton SAPS officers performed their daily patrols they found the child’s body with a baby blanket next to him.

Upon arrival, paramedics certified the child dead. His body is currently at the Germiston mortuary.

Alberton SAPS spokesperson Capt Manare Ramotshela commented, “Our investigation officer is busy with investigations. We appeal to the community to help us identify the child, or if anyone may know of a similar case which was reported at the time, come forward.”
