Pearl Manqele Ekurhuleni West Zone CPF chairperson commented: “The community was misled by propaganda messages which were sent through social media platforms. So far there haven’t been any cases reported of foreigners kidnapping any children in schools around Ekurhuleni as social media platforms have suggested. People should contact their local SAPS to confirm these cases.”

Brackendowns SAPS spokesperson, Nicole Sgt Niemand said: “The looters were here from last night and came back again this morning. We have been supervising the situation with SAPS on scene.”
