Nkululeko Buthelezi, leader from Ward 57 calling for calmness

I plead with all leaders in Zone 11 to stand up and lead. Let's defend and guide our people correctly!

Fellow Comrades of Zone 11! We have all witnessed the situation yesterday. As leaders of society, we cannot stand and watch or read about it! This situation has all the signs and recipe for an uprising against our own government!

We have a duty to defend the revolution and our gains! Yes, we have been saying to the powers that be!

That we need to do something and do it soon as our people are living in poverty, our youth is unemployed, small businesses are failing, foreign nationals have taken over basic jobs and business that our uneducated and poor people can do or should do and generally the nation is in distress and people will eventually rise and fight.

So what do we do??

I believe we need to calm things down. Let’s gather all progressive forces in our wards and address them, plead for calm whilst acknowledging their plea. Yes, we want jobs and economic opportunities to be preserved or almost prioritiSed for South Africans But our people must understand we cannot destroy the little infrastructure we have or attack our own people’s properties and cars.

Equally, we cannot be xenophobic, but the message must be clear South Africa belongs to South Africans our visitors must be humble and step aside and wait to be assisted and not take over.

I plead with all leaders in Zone 11 to stand up and lead. Let’s defend and guide our people correctly!

We have asked Regional, Provincial and National leadership to come out and address the Nation! High Moral and High Discipline.

Nkululeko Buthelezi
