NSPCA worried animals could end up on wrong side of protests

We also urge farmers that are transporting farm animals to cancel any transport until the protest action is over” said Meg Wilson of the NSPCA.

The National Council of SPCAs (NSPCA) have grave concerns for animals that may become collateral damage in the current unrest and protests that are happening around the country.

The NSPCA has been alerted to protest action that is occurring in various parts of the country and urge the public to be vigilant wherever animals are involved.

According to Meg Wilson of the NSPCA, “We have received reports of xenophobic attacks, as well as truck protests where any trucks that are found operating are stopped and their keys are removed – animals are often the collateral damage in this type of unrest and we urge members of the public to be vigilant and report any concerns to the NSPCA or their local SPCA immediately.

We also urge farmers that are transporting farm animals to cancel any transport until the protest action is over” said Meg Wilson of the NSPCA.
