A JMPD officer was shot in his hands following a shoot-out on corner 10th / Rosettenville road this afternoon, August 2.
Our JMPD IOC Reaction Unit Officers were chasing a suspicious vehicle in Rosettenville & suspects opened fire on the Officers, 1 Officer was badly injured, he was shot on both hands & will be operated on tomoro. We are glad he will be fine & wish him speedy recovery. pic.twitter.com/71tKfB0dkO

According to Captain Jeff Phora, Moffat View SAPS spokesperson, a JMPD officer was shot while pursuing suspects.
He was airlifted to a hospital for further medical attention. His state is unknown at this stage.
