City Power customers’ affected by virus to its IT systems

"We are hoping to have a solution by midday," said Isaac Mangena City Power spokesperson

City Power has been hit by a virus which has led to a blackout to it’s IT systems.

The virus has attacked City Power’s database and other software’s, impacting most of applications and networks.

According to Isaac Mangena City Power spokesperson,” This has affected our customers’ ability to vend, that is buying electricity, upload invoices, or access our website. It may also affect our response to some outages as the system to order and dispatch material is affected.”

City Power IT team has been working since early morning 1 am to fix this problem.

“We are hoping to have a solution by midday,” said Isaac Mangena City Power spokesperson

City Power apologises to the customers for the inconvenience this is causing to them.
