KW Alpha hosts Red Day at Alberton Child welfare

Brackenhurst property company Keller Williams Alpha hosted Red Day at Alberton Child Welfare on May 9.

BRACKENHURST property company Keller Williams (KW) Alpha hosted a Red Day at Alberton Child Welfare on May 9.

Red Day, which stands for renew, energise and donate, is also the company’s annual day of service to the community.

Staff members spent the day out at Child Welfare, where they donated children’s clothes, blankets and toys. They also helped reorganise the welfare’s filing system which dates back 60 years.

Jacques Louw, operating principal at KW Alpha, thanked Alberton Child Welfare for their welcoming hospitality.

“Although this mammoth task of filing took forever, we are grateful for the centre in allowing us to spend the entire day with the children. Each year on the second Thursday of May, we celebrate Red Day as part of building a legacy worth leaving. Making a difference in the lives of others and bettering the communities we serve lies at the heart of the Keller Williams culture,” said Louw.

Zeenith Domingo, director of the Alberton Child Welfare, extended her gratitude to the KW Alpha team.

“Jacques and his team did a great job in refiling and organising our archives. We found files dating back to 1962, with the Children’s Act we always need to store files for as long as possible. Children will still search for maternal and paternal families,” said Domingo.
