DOXA DEO Meyersdal invites street store volunteers to an orientation programme which will take place in Doxa Deo in Meyersdal on May 4 from 9am to 12 noon.

Another meeting will be held at the same venue on May 11 for volunteers who are not be able to attend the first meeting.

Those invited should let the organiser, Lenrou Jacobs, know on which days they will be able to attend the street store meeting.

This is a pop-up, free shopping experience catering for those in need and focusing on providing winter essentials. The needy and homeless will be invited to come and “shop” for clothing and shoes for free.

Alberton will see the very first street store on May 18 at the Alberton Dam in Blou Tulp Road.

During the orientation, discussions will include different roles the volunteers will play and what they need to know on the day.

Activities include washing, sorting of clothes, store ushers, signing in and out of attendees, and prayer.

Those interested in making a difference can contact Lenrou Jacobs on 072 292 3211 or via email on lenrou.jacobs@doxadeo.org
