Two nabbed with dagga in Eden Park

The total estimated street value of the dagga seized is R4 500.

TWO males where nabbed with over 1kg of dagga in Eden Park on February 12 at about 2.20am.

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two male suspects in Eden Park found in possession of dagga valued at over R4 000. The arrests followed acting upon information received from a reliable source.

Metro police acted promptly after receiving the tip-off and visited an address in Palm Ridge Extension Six. On searching the place the metro police came across 95 ziplock bags, 18 medium-size packets and two plastic bags filled with dagga. The total estimated street value of the dagga seized is R4 500. Cash amounting to R200 believed to be proceeds from dagga-peddling was also confiscated.

The two suspects, aged 20 and 27, were charged at Eden Park Police Station with possession and dealing in dagga. They are expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.
