7-year-old boy knocked down by a mini-bus taxi on Old Vereeniging Road

Metro police were on the scene for further investigation.

A 7-year-old boy is in a serious condition after he was knocked down by a mini-bus taxi on the Old Vereeniging Road in Alberton on Wednesday afternoon, February 13.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 14:53 to find the boy lying in the road and the taxi on the embankment.

The patient required Advanced Life Support interventions on the scene and was then transported to Thelle-Mogoerane Regional Hospital in nearby Vosloorus.

Metro police were on the scene for further investigation.
