SAPS and Tracker catches car thief

The vehicle was reported stolen in Boksburg.

ON November 22 members of the Johannesburg Flying Squad were in the Alberton area on the lookout for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen at Boksburg Police Station.

Combining forces the police and Tracker managed to track the car down on the N3 and caught the suspect red-handed.

The suspect, aged 43, was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The recovered vehicle was taken to Benoni for safekeeping.
