EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrests two for possession of Mandrax and dagga

The two suspects, aged 21 and 25, were detained at Eden Park Police Station on charges of possession and dealing in drugs.

Information from community members led the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit to a house on Tanzania Street in Palm Ridge on November 13. Two suspects were found in the house in possession of Mandrax and dagga and were arrested by EMPD officers. The officers recovered 16 full, three half and four quarter Mandrax tablets. Alongside the Mandrax, 18 ziplock bags and 31 wrapped packets of dagga were found. The drugs are estimated to have a value of R6 830 if it were to have been sold on the street.
