All moms welcome at Mom2Mom Support Group

THE La Leche League, support group for women who breastfeed, has been transformed into the Mom2Mom Support Group, for new moms to old moms, even grandmoms.
All moms are welcome to share support, advice and ideas.
Earlier this year, Lisa van Zyl, the La Leche League leader, notified the rest of the group that she will soon be emigrating, leaving La Leche League behind. Wendij Beetge, a former La Leche League mom, decided to take over the group but modifying it just a bit to include moms of all kinds and ages.
Wendij said: “Mom2Mom Support Group is not just for breastfeeding moms but for all overwhelmed, first-time, anytime moms. Moms need moms for support, advice, a shoulder cry on, or just to have a conversation with. Moms don’t always have their own moms around for this, so we moms need each other.”
From being pregnant or having a toddler, young child or teen, all moms are welcome to share their thoughts, stories and ideas. Conversation topics can vary from breastfeeding to lunch ideas, to diapers and dummies. Even if you just need a good cry, Mom2Mom will be there to listen and support you.
The group meets twice a month, a Thursday and a Saturday, at the request of the moms who enjoyed the meetings so much, they requested meeting twice instead of only once a month. Mom2Mom Support Group will be having their last meetings for the year on November 10 and 22 at Train Kids, 35 Toon Van Den Heever Street, Randhart, Alberton.
