Suspect arrested after break-in in Randhart

The suspect was arrested by CPS Security after a distress call was received over Whatsapp.

A HOUSEBREAKER was arrested on Amfibool Street in Randhart on October 23.

CPS Security received a call over one of the Randhart Whatsapp groups that there was a break-in in progress. Responding to the call they sent cars to surround the house.

Upon arriving at the house, they managed to arrest one suspect who was fleeing from the scene. The male suspect was taken to Alberton Police Station where he will be booked in and a background search will be done to see if he can be linked to other crimes.

Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director of CPS Security, calls upon residents to be vigilant as we move closer to the festive season. They have received increased reports of break-ins, especially in the early hours of the morning. If you see anything suspicious report it to the relevant authorities.
