Man arrested with over R11 000 in drugs

The suspect from Katlehong is charged with possession and dealing of illicit substances.

ACTING on a reliable tip-off, the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit pounced on a suspect’s house in Katlehong on October 12.

Upon searching the suspect’s house in Moshoeshoe section, the metro police found 27 ziplock bags of Cat and eight ziplock bags and nine rocks of methamphetamine. The drugs recovered have an estimated street value of R11 400.

The 44-year-old male suspect was arrested and is being detained at the Katlehong North Police Station. He is charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances and was expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court on October 15.
