Meeting encourages residents to show support for SAPS

Safety is important.

THE main purpose of Ward 38s ward committee meeting was to talk about working together for improved services and a safer community.

Councillor Malcolm Maifala chaired the meeting held on August 16 at the Bracken Park Community Hall in Hennie Alberts Street.

During the meeting he encouraged residents to take part in the DA march to Brackendowns SAPS to show support for SAPS in their effort to fight crime.

The march will take place on September 1.

“It is through this march that we will be calling on government to prioritise on ensuring that those tasked with keeping us safe are well-resourced. Therefore, let us all take a stand seeing that community safety is all our responsibility,” he said. He also urged residents to attend CPF monthly meetings as often as possible.
