Give to shoebox project and bring joy to underprivileged children

If you’ve wanted to do something nice, but didn’t know what, here’s a great idea…

BY now, you’ve probably heard of the annual Santa’s Shoebox Project, and that it brings smiles to thousands of underprivileged children’s faces.

If you’ve wanted to do something good, but didn’t know what, here’s a great idea…

The Santa’s Shoebox Project has been in existence for 12 years, with 762 594 shoeboxes (containing eight prescribed items) distributed to underprivileged children around South Africa and Namibia to date. The organisation’s aim is to hand out the millionth shoebox in 2019.

The success of the Project can largely be attributed to its personal nature – donors give gifts to children whose first names, ages and genders are known. It also relies on the generosity of various corporate sponsors that pledge Santa Shoeboxes as part of their Corporate Social Investment programmes.

HAPPY LITTLE GIRL: This Santa’s Shoe Box recipient was thrilled with her gifts.

The project is supported by an extensive network of volunteers who give freely of their time and expertise without remuneration. If you want to do something kind, you are more than welcome to contribute to this project as well!

Visit the website at www.santashoebox.org.za for a real feel of the project and all its kind supporters, or for more information on how to become involved. To see the journey of a Santa Shoebox, you can visit https://santashoebox.org.za/journey-of-a-santa-shoebox/.

HAPPY TWEENS: These young ladies were very excited about their Santa’s show Box gifts.
