THE young ones from Revival City College made a difference for Mandela Day through a variety of good deeds, on Monday, July 23.
The Grade R, Grade One and Grade Three learners focused on caring for the elderly and making them smile.
Grade R and Grade 1 entertained the grandparents of the college, as well as the seniors of the church on the college premises, with songs and poems. They also played board games together and served delicious tea and cake for the elderly to enjoy.
Similarly, the GradeThree learners visited the Alberton Old Age Home and also entertained them with songs. Learners collected cakes and biscuits which they brought to the village to spoil the elderly with.
The Grade Two learners tackled the environment around their school by cleaning up the veld and areas around the school while Grade Four learners visited the Rosettenville Baby Home where they handed over baby food, cream, nappies and other baby goods that the school collected from kind, generous parents.
“We would like to thank the parents and staff of RCC for their generosity, as well as Bubble and Squeak for transporting our learners free of charge,” said Karen van den Oever on behalf of Revival City College.
