15 people injured in multiple vehicle collision in Alrode
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 11H00, they found multiple patients on the scene. Two patients were entrapped, and the fire brigade had to extricate the patients using the jaws of life.
Fifteen people sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious following a multiple vehicle collision on Potgieter street in Alrode in the South of Johannesburg this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 11H00, they found multiple patients on the scene. Two patients were entrapped, and the fire brigade had to extricate the patients using the jaws of life.
Upon further assessment, two people were found to have sustained serious injuries, and thirteen others sustained minor to moderate injuries.
ER24, as well as multiple other medical services on the scene, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not known to our paramedics, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
