STUDIO 55 has recently moved to 18 Andries Road in Brackendowns from Figures Model Brackendowns.
According to Michaila Hepburn, coach, they still offer a variety of dance classes.
“We have many different classes available. From Tiny Tots, hip-hop for boys and girls, ballet, tap dancing, contemporary, cheeky heels (like burlesque), fitness, technique classes, modern and jazz,” she said.
Their new studio is gorgeous, painted in her favourite colour, purple.
“We have our very own Graffiti wall. The kids love to draw and write little messages on the wall, our own bathroom – this is now our home that we are proud of,” she added.
Michaila’s goal for the studio is to compete internationally.
“We would like to join the South African team to dance in London 2019.”
Dancers have done two flash mobs this year for proposals.
Some of students have done some corporate work at Gold Reef City. Three dancers also recently did a Shutter Speed Shoot.
“Our dancers are doing super well in their competitions and exams. We have recently done a ‘90’s music video with Reemicks Dance Studio,” she said. Michaila also said that it’s been a wonderful year so far.
