BREAKING NEWS: Eden Park SAPS robbed at knifepoint

No fire-arms were pointed or produced by the suspects during the incident.

On Thursday, June 7 at about 00h30, four(4) female members were on duty posted at the Eden Park Client Service Centre.

Two unknown males entered the Clients Service Centre.

The two jumped over the counter and one of them pulled out a knife and ordered the members to hand over the safe keys and to move toward the cells.

One member handed over the safe key to the suspect.

The suspect with the knife escourted three members toward the cells.

One member was hiding under a table in the CSC.

The suspect with the key went and opened the safe.

Suspects then left the CSC and one member saw suspects running toward a white bakkie with Canopy.

The white bakkie sped off in moving in an unknown direction.

The members inspected the safe and found it standing open.

One R-5 Rifle and two empty R5 magazines were missing.

The suspects left with the keys to the safe and the cells which was in one bunch.

A look-out was given on the white bakkie.

No fire-arms were pointed or produced by the suspects during the incident.

The member who hid under the table during the incident was the only one in possession of a fire-arm.

The suspects spoke Zulu during the incident and appeared to be South African citizens.

Relevant role-players attended the scene.
