The second suspect, the girlfriend of the accused aged 37, was arrested on May 28 on charges of defeating the ends of Justice. According to Sergeant Lindi Moloi, spokesperson for Brackenhurst SAPS, the suspect was cleaning up the blood on the scene as police officers arrived.

During court proceedings the charges were changed and both suspects are now being charged with murder and obstruction of justice.
