Alberton SPCA street collection – they need your help

Alberton SPCA needs your help either by shaking a bucket or to donate as you drive by.

ALBERTON SPCA is once again holding a big street collection to raise much-needed funds for the animals in their care on June 2 from 9am to 12pm.

They are in dire need of the support from the community – not only by donating as you drive past but also appealing to volunteers to come along to help to shake the buckets.

“We need as many volunteers on the day as possible so if you can help, please email either chairperson@spcaalberton.org.za or secretary@spcaalberton.org.za Volunteers must be over 16 years of age.

“If you can only commit to an hour that’s fine but we plan to be out from 9am until 12pm. Please help if you can because it’s going to be a fun time. We will be at the corner of Swartkoppies and Heidelberg roads so please support us.

“We once again hope to raise lots of money on the day to help us continue with our mission of caring for animals. “We do not receive any government funding and are totally reliant on the local community to support us,” said Vanja Ingold, administration manager of Alberton SPCA.
