Newborn baby found abandoned on Columbine Avenue, Mondeor

They took the baby to Mulbarton hospital to be checked out and then transferred her to Bara hospital.

Friday May 25th 2018 at 9am a Prison Warden was walking along Columbine Avenue, corner Golden highway when he came across an abandoned 4 day old baby girl, he called for the Cities ambo and Saps, one of the residents alerted the CPF immediately.

They took the baby to Mulbarton hospital to be checked out and then transferred her to Bara hospital.

CPF Mondeor and SAPS collected the baby last night as she was released and is doing well and is placed in a place of safety.

There appears to be no support structure at home. So young moms land up dumping their babies on the side of the road.

“We are asking our community to please open your hearts and assist with donations on baby clothing ,Nan 1 milk , nappies , etc for our Miracle baby.”

Please feel free to drop off any donations at Sasol garage Swartgoud, Suideroord with Letitia or Gavin.
