“Pancakes for a Cause” a great success
By 11am, i4118 already sold around 200 pancakes.
THE i4118 Foundation had their Pancakes for a Cause fund-raising event at Checkers Mall at Newmarket on Saturday, March 26. It was a great success with lots of community support!
This fund-raiser was in aid of at-risk children, that is abused, neglected, unloved and unwanted children.
The more pancakes sold, the more children could be helped by the foundation.
Thankfully, the community of Alberton had a big appetite for pancakes and gave the i4118 Foundation lots of support.
Not to dismiss Checkers – this store donated all the ingredients for the pancakes to i4118, and their expert pancake-baking staff even jumped in and helped out.
By 11am i4118 already sold around 200 pancakes at R6 per pancake. The event continued till 2pm, so this was a very successful event with a substantial amount of funds raised.
“We hope Checkers is willing to be so kind again, to have another pancake fund-raiser like this, within the next two or three months,” said Gavin Meyers, founder member of the i4118 Foundation.
“We are really thankful to the community and to Checkers for their amazing love and support,” he added.
The RECORD will keep readers up to date with the next Pancakes for a Cause fund-raiser as soon as the details are shared with us.
