R17 108 raised on Pancake Day

Learners from General Alberts managed to make the most proceeds with Checkers Pancake Day sales.

In support of Pancake Day, Checkers created an opportunity for learners from General Alberts Primary School to sell pancakes at their local Checkers store on February 10.

This initiative was intended to encourage entrepreneurship among learners.

General Alberts Primary School raised the most money nationally for the second year in a row, with a total of R17 108 through pancake sales at Checkers Hyper New Market. The funds raised was matched by Checkers and handed over to the school.
