Support the SPCA by buying books

There is something for everyone.

ALBERTON SPCA has a second-hand book section and they have lots of wonderful books at good prices for you to enjoy.

People are invited to browse through the shop. “The books are now in alphabetical order and we also have Afrikaans, children’s, religious and non-fiction sections,” said Vanja Ingold, the honorary secretary. There is always something new in, so come and see for yourself.

“Our second-hand shop sells all sorts of things from glasses to shoes to bedding and toys; it’s like an Aladdin’s cave. In addition, we sell Montego dog and cat food, as well as cat litter, at excellent prices,” Vanja added.

The shop is an essential part of their income and is well worth a visit. The Alberton SPCA receives no government funding and is entirely reliant on the local community to help them in their mission to prevent cruelty to animals.
