Police reach out to community

SAPS reach out to the sick and frail at different hospices.

POLICE are not always just crime fighters who chase after criminals. Now and then they also reach out to the communities in which they work.

Gauteng Police representing different clusters joined hands on World Aids Day, December 1, to bring some joy to the sick and frail at Eagle Excellence Hospice in Eden Park.

Hosted by EMM, the different SAPS clusters spent the day at the hospice as part of 16 Days of Activism.

“Eagle Excellence Hospice was one of the places we had to visit to give out gifts to the sick and frail and the patients were filled with joy.

“South African Breweries (SAB) and Rand Water were our main sponsors and we are grateful for the sponsorship. In the same breath I would like to thank some of our local businessmen in Eden Park who sponsored us to make the outing a reality and bring smiles to the sick and frail in the different hospices,” said Sgt Mita Baloyi-Badi.
