Unknown person burnt to death

They suspect that the person was killed, burnt somewhere else and then dumped at the dumping site.

AN unknown person was found dead on a dumping site in Riemvasmaak Extension Five on the morning of November 26. The body was burnt beyond recognition.

The police officers at the scene said it was difficult to see whether the burnt-out corpse was male or female. They suspect that the person was killed, burnt somewhere else and then dumped at the dumping site.

Many on-lookers, mostly residents of Adam Kok Street, said nobody had seen a fire or smoke at the dumping site on the night before or even early that Sunday morning. This supported the suspicion by the police that the burning was done somewhere else.

The police will be waiting for families to report a missing family member whereby only a DNA test can be the final method of identification. A murder case was opened.
