Goodbye old friend

Basil was an avid camper and loved fishing.

Goodbye to our dear friend Basil Kilpatrick (November 16, 1951 to November 11, 2017).

Basil came from Rhodesia, the old country before Bob got a hold of it. He was always full of colourful stories of his days on the mines there and the times that they came under fire.

Most of our Community Policing Forum members don’t know this, but Linda and Basil came under fire probably more than our CPF and community combined.

We will miss his dedication and commitment. Basil devoted many hours to the CPF. He always accompanied Linda, at all hours to trauma scenes and would wait patiently for her to complete her counselling.

Basil was an avid camper and loved fishing. His epic pool adventures will never be forgotten.

He loved his family dearly and only wanted the best for them. He was a good man and a good friend to many.

We will all miss you, but we will not forget you, farewell our friend.
