The staff of Clinton Hospital invited the families for tea and cake as they honoured and celebrated these miracle babies. The day served as a platform for parents of premature babies to get together and encourage those parents who are still in the intensive care unit (ICU) with their babies.
Many parents gave their own testimonies of how they overcame life’s challenges. They also showed how their healthy babies are visible proof of this. Each testimony came with tears and its own personal touch from the mothers and fathers of premature babies.
Baby Shiloh Fea Ribeiro was also present with her family. The last time we followed up with baby Shiloh was when she turned one in June.

Parents mingled and shared their stories once the formalities were over. Dr Klaas Mnisi handed out plush unicorn toys to each baby. They were also given a pack of nappies.
