The authorities received a description of the suspect’s car and the SAPS Flying Squad, with the help of security companies, successfully traced and arrested the suspect and took him to Honeydew Police Station.

The suspect, Vincenzo Piettropaolo (61), was apparently the husband of the victim, although they had been separated for several years.
