Taxi accident leaves 16 injured on R59

The cause of the accident will be investigated by the authorities.

A taxi overturned at approximately 6pm on Friday, November 3, on the R59 after Michelle Avenue.

Fox Security’s Medical Unit and Emergency Services were immediately activated.

Upon arrival it was established that there was a total of 16 patients with injuries ranging from minor to critical.

Additional ambulances arrived on scene and the patients were handed over to them for further care and transportation to Hospital.

Fox Medical Unit, Med-Help EMS, Emer-G-Med (Pty) Ltd, Netcare911, Er24, Hi-Care EMS, Baneshu EMS,EMPD and the Ekhuruleni Fire and Rescue were on the scene.

The cause of the accident will be investigated by the authorities.
