Matric valediction in Eden Park

Matrics must remember the words of poet James Kisner: You cannot win the race unless you follow through. You cannot blame the others for it all depends on you.

EDEN Park Secondary held its matric valediction on October 20 at Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM/AFS) Church to bid farewell to the class of 2017.

Twelve years of schooling suddenly came to an end for the learners who, from next year, will be facing the realities of their journey into life.

Motivational speeches were delivered by the principal Liza Naudé, pastor Jerry Marcus, Clr Dino Petersen (guest speaker) and fellow learners.

Learners who listened and remained focused while good advice was given have a good starting facing real life.

About 630 000 matriculants will sit down for the final exams and many of the Eden Park learners promised good results. They claimed they are ready to deliver a 100 per cent pass rate.

Standing ostentatiously at the end of the valediction, educators and guest speakers wished the learners success in their exams and gave each one a gift.

Something learners can live by the words of poet James Kisner: You cannot win the race unless you follow through. You cannot blame the others for it all depends on you.
