ALBERTON High School reached out and celebrated in more way than one recently.
These events include blood donations and Heritage Day celebrations. The learners of Alberton High donated a total of 39 units of blood! This is wonderful, especially since a blood shortage has recently been announced by the South African National Blood Service (SANBS). This will also aid those affected by the recent storms and destruction.
“Thank you all for being so brave,” said Carol Roberts-Twigg on behalf of the school. “You are someone’s hero.”
Alberton High learners also had lots of fun celebrating Heritage Day. Learners were dressed in bright colours and bold African prints and proudly displayed their cultures.
“Thanks to all the learners who participated,” said Carol. “You all looked so beautiful!”
