Hair salon is target of thieves

This was the second burglary in the space of a few months.

ACCORDING to Captain Vusi Mhlophe, there are just too many burglaries in Eden Park.

On the weekend of October 6, thieves targeted a hair salon in Lancia Street. The thieves broke a side door which had no burglar bars. They stole a plasma television, packets of hair extensions and tools.

The manager of the salon, who asked to remain anonymous, told the RECORD this was the second burglary in the space of a few months.

The manager said: “This first burglary was through a badly positioned side window which we had to close with bricks. That time, they stole all the stock we had in the salon, namely hair extensions and appliances. We have now fitted burglar bars around the salon and hope this will deter the thieves from coming a third time.”

Police are investigating a case of burglary.
