Free vehicle testing offered by EMM

This forms part of the City’s programmes during Transport Month.

FREE vehicle testing takes place during the month of October on all public transport vehicles and trucks with a gross vehicle mass of 3 500kg and more.

This forms part of the City’s programmes during Transport Month. These vehicles must be designed to transport 12 or more passengers and include the likes of trucks, taxis, buses and scholar transport.

Vehicles can be taken to any of the City’s active vehicle testing centres, weekdays only from 8am to 3pm.

There are three stations in Ekurhuleni ready to render the service across the city: Alberton situated in Bosworth Street, Alrode. Contact number 011 999 2345; Kempton Park situated in H Lewis Street.
